Business Analyst opening with a manufacturer.
Axios Professional Recruitment has partnered with a growing manufacturing company in Muskegon for a Business Analyst position. The person in this role will be a key asset in the future growth of the company. This individual will be supporting the site team and will act as the finance business partner to the commercial, operations, and Human Resources teams. This role will also serve an active member of the site management team. Additionally, the Business Analyst will develop and implement specific strategies, systems, programs and controls in order to meet prioritized profit and growth objectives.
•Provides financial and business input, guidance and advice to senior business leaders at the site he or she supports.
•Leads, develops and coordinates necessary and appropriate monthly business commentary and analytics. Presents finding to Site leaders.
•Act as the business partner to the local operations and commercial teams by providing insight and financial perspective to help drive improved performance and ensure business decisions are grounded in sound financial analysis.
•Establish and maintain an excellent framework of internal controls and fraud prevention
•Partner with the site managers develop and present quarterly financial forecasts, business review presentations, and annual plans.
•Monitors financial performance and works with site leaders to develop and implement corrective action where needed.
•Provide cost and variance analyses to provide insight and improve company performance
•Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the site such as product pricing, process improvement, best practice implementation, cost structure, and fixed asset expenditures.
•Provide effective liaison with the Group and Divisional Head Offices to support corporate requirements and allow for ongoing communication of business and financial conditions
•Develops and implements project/program/plan evaluation tools and supports robust business case analysis for projects/programs/plans for the site.
•Conducts periodic reviews or approved programs and participates or leads financial reviews for the site.
Participates or leads ad hoc projects including data analysis and process improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
•Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
•A CPA or CMA certification is preferred but not required
•A minimum of 4 - 6 years’ combined experience in finance or accounting roles in a manufacturing company.
•Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, experience with IFRS is a plus.
•Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
•A high level of computer proficiency and experience, including hands-on use of ERP/MRP system used in standard costing.
•Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present his/her views in a clear and concise manner
•Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
•Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity
•A “business-minded” finance professional that has the capability to go beyond the numbers in dissecting/analyzing business matters.
•Ability to communicate with and explain financial concepts to non-finance people
